Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones from the last few years do. Search yours below, or check in your phone's settings in ten seconds.
Check on your phone
The surest way: your phone tells you itself.
1iPhone
- Settings → General → About
- Look for an EID line: if it is there, you are good to go.
2Samsung Galaxy
- Settings → Connections → SIM manager
- An “Add eSIM” option means the phone supports it.
3Google Pixel and other Android
- Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
- Look for “Add eSIM”, or dial *#06# and check for an EID.
On any phone, dialling *#06# shows the IMEI. If an EID is listed with it, the phone has an eSIM.

Carrier-locked phones
A phone locked to a carrier can only use that carrier's SIMs, eSIM included. Ask your carrier to unlock it first. Phones bought outright are usually unlocked.

Regional models
iPhones and many Android phones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau have no eSIM, and some Japanese and US carrier versions differ. The settings check above is the safe test.

Two SIMs at once
Your regular SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts while the eSIM handles data abroad. Turn off data roaming on your home SIM to avoid its charges.
Phones and tablets with eSIM
226 models we know take an eSIM. Newer models than these almost always do too.
